PDCA’s service to member companies continues with the launch of findapainter.com. This new site will help consumers find a painting contractor in their area. Only PDCA members will be eligible for listing in the online directory.

This upgrade to the existing findapro directory from PDCA has been rebranded as a stand-alone service to consumers capable of attracting visitors and generating leads for all members of PDCA. The site has been in development since the Spring of 2010 and launched on July 31st at www.findapainter.com.

During the month of June 2010 PDCA members were allowed to test the site and provide feedback. These comments led to several changes prior to the site being unveiled to the general public. The changes included increasing the number of listings displayed per page, larger default search area, bug fixes and other improvements. Later this year PDCA will begin offering addons to listing at findapainter.com allowing companies to add more customization to their information. These items include a photo gallery, testimonials gallery and more. Suggestions being considered are contractor blogs and personal web addresses allowing smaller contractor the opportunity to use their findapainter listing as their primary website and other enhancements.

Listings on findapainter.com are limited to members of PDCA. Non-members will be able to find out about the benefits of membership and submit their request to join online through the new site. The site also highlights photos of work completed by PDCA members to demonstrate the capabilities and craftsmanship of the Association’s members.

Consumers will benefit from the site by gaining access to a continually updated resource for coatings industry information. Painting news, product information and a clear explanation covering the benefits of hiring a professional painting contractor are all key elements to the site (in addition to the ability to find a painter).
